Amazing.
If this update was for one of your primary chars, you would cheer.
But since barely anyone plays mesmers anymore, at least in PvE, all there is in this thread is complaining complaining complaining.
The complaints in this thread show clearly one thing: WHAT ARE GW PLAYERS OF TODAY CONCERNED ABOUT. AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
Answer? Nothing but farming and barely anyone is a mesmer. What's new?
This update is almost entirely about mesmer profession, and this thread is entirely about uh oh farming.
I'm absolutely disgusted at the state of the game today. Dominant playstyle is degenerative grinding.

And yes, vaettirs have Mind Wrack now, got it on another screeny too.

Nope. I was talking about farming cause of the update notes, even if that was a line. (in normal pve having 1 more or less hex is not going to make the vaettirs pretty for ya, still bitch##).
And i got a mesmer waiting for an update like this one to play a bit different.

Mindbender coming off my RoJ nuking bar... @ 20% cast reduction it's useless.
Though at 4 seconds instead of 2 to cast RoJ/Echo-RoJ, I prolly cant cast both before the scatter starts... have to test to see if the bar is gone entirely.

i play mesmer, and yeah i'm happy for the pve updates, but if you have played pvp for any amount of time, you would have known that in pvp mesmers were already strong, now they're just broken, but you don't care do you pver?

Why is it that when Anet releases content they never post it on the login screen?

Been playing Illusionary swordsman since the update aired... Yea it might not be as efficient as other builds... But with this update it sure is fun ^^.
95 armor on a mesmer = awsome

There to lazy to put up the message thinking wiki and there website would attract the people by every update. Let alone they can't control the message system since the wron messages come out once in a while.

The "monster" improvements were to make the monsters more balanced and give players a more fair chance in HM. Try it yourself and witness the skillbar changes.

I started a Mesmer in anticipation of this update, having never tried one, and even weeks beforehand I was having fun with the the "counter-fighting" style of a hardcore PvE interrupter.

Most of the time when Anet delivers an update, they manage to break something, introduce a bug or just plain get it wrong... you don't want them to break the login screen now do you?
Yes, I was being facetious.

As someone who started the game as a Mesmer, I must say I'm very, very pleased by this update. The best aspect of this update, though, is that the devs understood how consumables could cause Eles and Necros to leave poor Mr. Mesmer in the dust.
Also, new minis...

Hehe. I love how whenever ANet buffs an underperforming skill or class one of my own builds or build ideas gets completely obliterated (I used to have a very lovely and effective fire ele build utilizing the old Hundred Blades, too). It seems my violin-playing Fast Casting/Healing Prayers Me/Mo idea just wasn't meant to be.
But hey, overall it's for the better. I might actually toy around with my mez more now.

Wouldn't surprise me if you could put those Medal of Honors in the HoM.
EDIT: Duh... should have realized that since you can get new minis, they can be put into the HoM.
